This photographs shows a small part of the Summer Milkyway in northwestern Sagittarius, which includes the following red emission nebulae (from top to bottom): M16, the Eagle or Starqueen Nebula, M17, the Omega or Swan Nebula, and IC 1283/84 near M24, the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud, which is located just below the center of the image. There are also some fainter nebulae and star clusters visible within this photograph.
